They are obviously an American based company whom I've never heard of but I also like the little extras at the end.

I notice they crack open the rounded end of the egg, not the pointy end. If you do it the other way about your thumb tack won't pierce the membrane of the egg, it will just go into the air sack.

I think they puncture the round end (why are bottoms always round..............sorry, I digress) & cut the pointy end.
