    Te he piskie...mine is in a box either in the cellar or in the barn- as are most of my possessions! Tis tempting to buy another one though- I really fancy having a go at this!

    Might be nice to have something like chives growing in a box of 6 eggs to give for an Easter pressie. That'd be easy to do!

        Sorry to be a sad git and think of this, but would the compost not get waterlogged?

          Snadge, you need to put a wee hole in the bottom.....someone did say back on page 1.

                              I notice they crack open the rounded end of the egg, not the pointy end. If you do it the other way about your thumb tack won't pierce the membrane of the egg, it will just go into the air sack.

                                I think they puncture the round end (why are bottoms always round..............sorry, I digress) & cut the pointy end.
