I have to go and see if anything's come up in the night. Every millimetre counts!

Same for me and if I've got time I'll have a wander round the other plots to see how everybody else is getting on.

Haven't got a lottie cos I couldn't manage it all by myself.

But I do go out in the garden with my coffee most mornings after BH is settled with his breakfast. Chooks are already out by then, and usually on the scrounge for anything whatsoever. I have a check of the pond life, then potter about inspecting, dead-heading, tidying. Check the progress on anything new, and, in Summer, check the soft fruits for an on the go instant breakfast. BH wonders why I bother with Alpine strawberries......he says the darned things never fruit......

Not into breathing fresh air so it's a cuppa & a fag for me, sit down & decide what needs doing. Best part of the day.......deciding........it's the doing that's the hard bit........

Same here (at home I mean) - the first thing I do is see if anything new has germinated or grown a teeny tiny bit!

At the lottie, its go and look, get bewildered at where to start & walk around scratching my head!

Take a cup of coffee out, trip over the dogs getting down the front steps. Then check out the no-dig garden. Water it necessary (or have time if it's work day) and pick a couple of cherry tomatoes and eat them. Grab any veg that is right to pick. And check out the herb garden on the way to the hose (swear if the dogs have been in it again!)
If it's work day then often just look at the garden from the deck with coffee in hand, then as I'm off to the car grab some lettuce and tomato to go on the sandwich at lunchtime. Can't get fresher than that!

If I'm going to work the first thing done in the garden is to give the chooks their lettuce, if not then it is to let them out. Second thing is feed the birds.

well, Ive only got a teeny back garden and have only been using it for growing a couple of months! But I always go out and check the rhubarb (what the slugs have left of it!), then go round killing said slugs, finally keep an eye of the dogs in case I need one of the thousand poo bags that live in all my trouser pockets!
Cant wait to be wandering round when more things are in and growing....

Usually go after school with a thermo mug. The first thing, into to lean against the water but they is basically at the same height as me; and survey my little kingdom. Then take the thermo mug, walk up to to border. Stand and look at the broadies, wall along the border. To circumnavigate the patch.

But mostly stand by the waterbutt and drink my tea. Working out what exactly needs to be done, when and how.
