Dog owners

A few years ago our local paper ran a campaign where they went round sticking little flags in poo to draw attention to the problem, especially on the beach and also took photos of people letting their dogs foul then walking away, which they published.

I'm not sure how successful it was, it's certainly worn off judging by the amount round by me.

As a dog owner poo bags are always to be found in my pockets, ready to be used. I always pick my dogs' mess up, tie it and sling in the green bins. It's no effort!

I have to say though, for every one dog mess, there're about 20 human messes (litter), mainly drink & snack wrappers, just left on the ground for someone else to clear up

(I'm a poo bag carrier and collector too - and I don't sling the bag into trees when its full either, Grrrrr!)

We've got loads of these stuck round the village. Surprisingly, it is making a bit of a difference.

Just looked at Goggle - its an England only campaign I'll see if I can find anything similar in Wales - would need to be bilingual though - that would be a very big sticker!

Thanks Sarah. They'll only send them out in England! I'll see if I can find any Welsh equivalent.
I'm on the Keep Wales Tidy beach clean up in 2 weeks so I'll ask around then.
