I'm Confused and in a Quandary

I'm in the fortunate postion of being offered 2 part time jobs.
Unfortunately I'm not able to do the 2 postions as the hours dont fit.

I've been working for the last 6 weeks, unpaid, for a company on the promise of a job when someone was granted voluntary redundancy. I been working 16 hours and when the job is available at a fair rate of pay. The approval for the redundancy has taking 6 months and didnt look like being sorted any time soon.

Whilst I was waiting another postion came up that I was interested in so I applied and I've just heard that I've got that postion. This will be 30 hours at minimum wage.
This job involves working with 2 plant nurseries and I may get to plant trees and deal with school children who want to grow plants.

The 30 hours @ minimum wage is paid more than the 16 hour job but i know this job and I think I fit in well.
Both positions are only for 6 months.

I really am confused and dont know which job to take.

If there's nothing to chose between them, why don't you think about the position you will be in in six months when whichever you choose will be finished - which of the two will stand you in better stead on your CV for future employment?

Do you have to travel far for either job? That means time and money spent on going to work.
With the trees job, do you want to plant trees and work with children?
Are either of the 2 jobs likely to turn into a permanent post?
Whatever you choose, you're a very lucky bunny to be in this position!

firstly,pen and paper,make a list of pros and cons of both jobs,like take home pay,what effect on any benefits,travel costs,and what your inner self is saying,wishing you all the best with whatever road you choose,

I personally would love the nursery one but kids get on my nerves. Except mine.

Personally I'd go with the one that pays and tell the others that when the paid position does become available for them to get in touch.

Just an extra thought, would you be required to pay for your own police check for the position with children or would they provide that for you.

Sounds like the council and early retirement to me, but I don't understand why the position would be for only 6 months, when its taken 6 months to try and get it?

Well, if everyone was offered voluntary redundancy and someone took it, but the job needed doing and nobody else applied then they would have to recruit externally.

Its about 13miles to each. Dont mind planting kids and trees. Tree job could be extended.

CRB has been done already, I'm all clean and council paid.

Dont know how it works. The redundant position was managerial and they have split it into 2 admin positions.

If somebody said the x job is yours, and someone else has the y job, would you be pleased or disappointed.
AND, do you want to work 30 hours a week or 18? Is that 4 days of travelling instead of 3?

She's good, it could be 5 days of 6?, but then the 16 could be 6 days of 3?
