I'm Confused and in a Quandary

The problem is I feel loyalty for the company I've just done 6 weeks unpaid work for.
Its only a small company, 5 employees including me.

The council tend to work 7.5hours a day. So 16 hours would be over 3 days but 30 hours over 4 days!

In your position, there's no room for loyalty to someone that has messed you around. IMVHO, of course.

So it looks like I'll be planting kids and teaching trees.
More hours but hourly rate lower but overall more money.
Other positive about this job is a chance of getting out in the sun/rain as theres no natural light in the other position.

Phew, Glad we've got that sorted. I can sleep tonight now.
I would have chosen the outdoor job too (although I'd prefer talking to trees than kids).

Why have you worked for 6 weeks unpaid? If you're doing the work then presumably there is a vacancy right now because you are filling the position unpaid. If they are not paying you, they don't have the money. Will they ever? Take the other job.

It was supposed to be a 2 week work trial then start work. Then they said about having to wait for the crb and for the other guy to be approved for redundancy.
Now they say he has been approved but still no definite start date.
So really it should have been a no brainer.

There's no "really" about it - it is a no-brainer so go forth and plant trees and amuse children. You'll love it and so will they!

There is going to be a lot of paperwork involved but i'm hoping to get a chance to do some planting.
