Isn't your present "job" paper work too? Any clues about who the job is with? Just in case I know them!

Haven't read through all of this yet, but just in case no-one has mentioned it - you have to be working over 20 hours to get Tax Credits these days, 16 hours isn't enough any more. So if you would need TCs to survive (which most people on minimum wage do ) then you'd have to go for the 30 hours one.
Personally, gardening of any sort would always win over a desk job. Particularly with a bad back, as sitting down for prolonged periods is really bad for backs.

                      When in Rome... !

It's starting to stick now - originally I did it for a laugh with my Welsh work mates, but it's slipping in every now and again!

Or should that be now in a minute?

Not entitled to TC's because other half earns too much.
I think the increase in minimum hours for tax credits is ridiculous. What a way of making sure that no-one will want to work. Its like the universal benefit they want to bring in where some school children wont get school meals anymore because their parents earn too much money.

                            There's lovely.

I mentioned last year the lingo was slipping in - probably not too obvious unless you are English but gawd only knows how bad it is now! What you need is a good stint in Derbys to get your ducks in order.
