I have no problem with them doing this and seeing if its beneficial, I have a problem when they take the clone and put it in with the tupp and genetically modify the whole chain.

We know how to modify the dna code but not how the modification may yet affect the animals immune system etc. 'Its life Jim but not as we know it.'

What do you mean by the bit I highlighted? What's a tupp and whole chain?

same as the ones agasint genetically modified crops I'd imagine....
although mine are because a) they're genetically modified, you really dont know what you're messing with when you start messing with food, and b) it's the equivalent of monsanto involved which make it an auto no-no.....
I dunno, I sound like an old nay-sayer when I start saying stuff like 'oh, you don't wanna mess with that' but really, I dont want my food messed with, if anyone is going to mess with it, I want to be the one with the choices, not have stuff like that thrust upon me. Call it fear of the future, or whatever....sci-fi does have it's uses, but also it's pitfalls.
And as VC says below, feeding food to your food is a bit weird, and sparked the whole CJD and scrapie thing before....I don't want to find I've been fed that stuff without even knowing this time round...

One of the reasons why I stopped eating meat was the unnatural rubbish that was being fed to the animals and the medications they were being treated with as a matter of routine. I don't want any of that junk in my body, thank you very much.
As for that experimental sheep , why ?? If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Why won't I eat meat from a GM animal? Simples. I don't know and neither does anyone else what the consequences will be for the human race or more importantly ME!!

Therefore I will wait my time and watch those who do eat it. If they are still alive after 100 years and have not grown any extra bits, or lost any bits then I might just might consider it.

Stick in the mud, gain sayer, old fashioned, yes and not ashamed of it either.

I avoid GM ingredients, so I'd avoid GM meat too. Pretty much for the same reasons as above
