A great day for me, despite a shaky start. Thanks all - great to meet you at last! The VVGs had a great time. Can recommend Bunkershill, Headfry. Yes we did ram more plants in the car

I got some summer snowdrops and a strange fruit...had a lovely day and when we got to Bunkers Hill, VVG, Mr VVG and myself did not know where to look first. Kids in sweetshops - what a great nursery!

          Great to meet everyone

No apology needed. I had to tell myself to step away as I really cannot grow anymore...and then yes, we tip into a nursery on the way home. Two Glencoe raspberries, a banana mint and lavender mint, a fruit we don't know (same as Zaz's), a Pulmonaria Rubra and a free dianthus. Good job we ran out of time.

I haven't got to the step away stage yet, I learnt I can't grow all the tomatoes I want to, but not with anything else yet But the garden is large, there is enough space or everything now, I just have to make some lazy beds and it'll all fit in
bunkers hill....noted and may have to go there in a month or two....

It was a fantastic place. Let's say next month?

Great time had....even though the weather did not treat us with much respect. The plant fair was way bigger than I expected, I thought there would be just a couple of plant stands, but there were many and with a varied range of plants. Shame the wind was getting up, I hope it did not spoil their fund raising efforts. We headed for the pub just to get warm of course!
It was so good to meet such lovely people. New friends and new happy memories to carry always.
Bunkers Hill is good...way too good......dangerously good

Hope to see you all again xx

Just to let you know that the rather outlandish figure we saw at The Trout is Peter Owen-Jones - Anglican vicar who has done a number of TV series. I knew I knew him from somewhere!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

What outlandish figure? Where was he? Am I just used to outlandish in wonderful Oxon?

He was striding through the car park - then went into the Trout. Smallish and slim, wearing his big brown felt fedora hat and knee length boots.

To be honest Oxford has a number of dandies. Can't say I noticed him. I must be too used to visiting.
