Icky website referring my blog

Right, I've only just started the whole blogging shennanigans and so far it's been great fun. I've noticed however that for whatever reason there is a website -one with over 18's content- which seems to be the source of a regular amount of traffic. Now, I am fascinating I admit it, but why on earth would either the site or it's users give a fig about my radishes?

Should add, thuse far it doesn't seem to be effecting anything, no spam or unwanted content. I'd just much rather not have any assocaition with this site or one like it.

No - someone for some reason has posted a link and it's referring people to their site.

I'm on blogger too and have some miscellaneous viewers. I don't look to see where the traffic comes from but Russia and Korea seem to have an unnatural interest in my blog!

Zazen's got it. Veggiechicken, I like yours too! Well at least I'm not the only person getting unanticipated traffic. If it dosen't do any harm, thats fine I suppose.

Do they just post comments on your blog with a link to their site? I had that one mine, but since I had to approve comments first I just deleted them. I did end up with someone who used to regularly hack in and make themselves a user and an extra site on my blog. We deleted them a few times and then my son set it so they can't do that again. If there are security updates on your site you should always update for that reason.

A lot of my traffic comes from strange sources too. I wouldn't worry about it too much, at least it's upping your stats

You should be able to tell from the log files/stats what on their site they are linking to what part of yours. It maybe something like someone using a photo or icon on your blog as their avatar, rather than a link to a post.

The Russians seem to have gone off my site lately....and the croatians as well. I had the South American contingent for a while. Recently Finland has gotten into the groove, and some very odd parts of USA - Christian based schools - I know I've put FGS in there a few times, but it's not really in a christian sense! And then once I had the Defence force on my site.....I often go look at the stats page for a laugh when I'm bored. Ali

It is interesting getting to see who goes on there. They're not posting anything, just looking so thats just fine. If I'm inspiring anyone in Russia to grow some radishes, all the better I guess! Thanks for the reassurance everyone!
