I had no idea what a gimmer was,and whether it was good or bad, as round here it means something completely different. Round here, if you get your gimmers on something you espy it or spot it.
Anyway I googled gimmer and got this.
Had a listen and it just about sums it up (although its from the wrong county).............auld git in other words.
Among other things, I Got some nice hand made birthday cards from the grandbairns (I play heck if they spend money on me!) A nice choccy cake and a pair of brilliant wide braces with tractors on them (A La Tommy Walsh!) from my daughter
