not queen of google for nothing,are you,did'nt realise that lettuce could be grown in such restrictive space,what a good idea for peeps with space problems,also plant and pick without bending,wonders if the slimies will venture far up the fence lol,

There's a photo of some at slight angles so you water the top one and it runs down the gutter and out the end into the next one which slopes the other way, and then down again to the next one...

I grow lettuce in window boxes that stand on a horizontal ladder fastened to the shed they seem to do well and the slugs leave them alone.

My concern would be where does the excess water go?

Also fixed to a wooden panel it would be hard to water this with a watering can and not spill some down the face of the shed.

Nice it theory, not sure how well it works long term.

Actually, I know what you mean about the water. I have hanging baskets on my fence and it looks like one of the posts will need replacing because of the water rotting it.

Everyone knows you've got to put a slight fall on the guttering for the water to flow.

Can't do it with my lovely cast iron guttering that was brought down by last winters gales..................the scrapman nicked the bladdy lot!

Snadger, I saw the other day Floplast have started making a plastic imitation cast iron guttering. Even close up it looked pretty good.

With regard to the slight fall, is that towards the downpipe filled with championship length leeks?

Not sure that is a shed, looks rather like a timber-clad bit of HOUSE, in which case NOT a good idea (got my 'surveyor's assistant' hat on again). Maybe put up a frame to keep the whole thing several inches away from the wall behind.....
