I presume you mean ground coffee beans. If so, these are a welcome addition to the compost bin, I sprinkle them on and mix in well. Or you can apply direct to the soil around plants as a mulch which will also keep the slugs at bay.

Spent coffee is acidic so ideal round your blueberry bushes.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

I have a coffee machine and I put the used grounds and filter straight in the compost bin. They are a good source of nitrogen and if you add a couple of cups to a bucket of water, leave for 24 hours you can use it as a fertilising drink for your plants.A garden is a lovesome thing, God wot! Ahh sorry I missed that word out!! Yes ground ones. I like the idea bucket of water will do that. Thank's. Also tea grounds in there too would that still be ok to use the same way?? Now I might just have to find a home for the six blueberries I have at home. There are in pot's of echicah sp?? soil already. Does it help against carrot fly too?? Im waiting to sow carrots fingers crossed this weekend if it drys up a bit!!!

If I have left over percolated coffee, I dilute it with water and water the plants with it. They seem to like it. Always done it since my mum did the same - I never questioned why lol
