Apparently the dogs belonged to the householder's daughter: she was either at work or couldn't cope with them, I don't know. It's a council house, so perhaps the householder was worried about the council finding out she had dogs ~ they still barked in the garden, but were swiftly taken indoors or told to shut up when they started on one

Spaniel I reckon: they're very vocal. The howlers over from us are little spaniels and the owners don't do anything to shut them up. They're going to get a muzzle for Xmas they are

Could be a Dalmatian! Come on you can give more detail than that. Big, medium, small? Long ears down the side of the head? Pricked ears on top? Long tail or short? Curled tail over back or straight? It's either that or the coffee machine goes on over there xxx

I typed up an official looking letter & this leaflet and posted it to the house: the barking stopped shortly after that

I've found that when my neighbour's dog is in the garden and barking, I can shut it up by activating the sonic cat scarer I got to discourage cats. It's too high pitched for me to hear, but pressing the button a couple of times seems to stop the dog at once. Maybe one of those high pitched dog whistles would do the same thing.

We have one next door but one who screams all day .........and that's the mum at the kids

Seriously tho' it's no joke . Jake will bark but I usually only have to say be quiet or fetch him in. He does get left (in the house) but settles down in his bed and sleeps . Only once has our neighbour textd me to ask if he was ok cos he was whining and that's cos I went out the back door instead of the front .

'course it could be a Basenji , they don't bark only howl and yodel .......
"The Basenji produces an unusual yodel-like sound commonly called a "barroo", due to its unusually shaped larynx.[1] This trait also gives the Basenji the nickname "Barkless Dog".[2]"
