  • Cleaning Gravel

    Good Morning

All of my gardens are either gravel or slate so apart from gathering it all up and putting it in the kitchen sink in phases has anyone got any tips on the best way to clean it all. Its been down for a few years now and looking a bit dirty and wil lots of algae on it all.

I rake mine every now and again. It's the only thing I can think to do. Throw mild soapy water on it and rake it? Or pressure washer and safety goggles

bicarbonate of soda will get rid of the algae, you can buy it in big bags on tinternet, try summernaturals or amazon, just sprinkle on and leave for a few days, let the rain wash it off (we're bound to get more !) or just wash after a while with water. Worth a try!

Good question- I have a large, old, gravel driveway and I'd be interested to hear the results!

Tricky one. I think I'd go for the raking/bicarb/rain. Hope you manage to get an improvement.
