I'm sure it probably has a kick like an ox!

There are many mouths to feed in our merrie band my lady, so I've brought some big carrots too.

That cake looks so delicious I've been licking the screen (a woven structure made from willows or hazel - before you ask)

Jules, are you a Minstrel who wishes to join our Merry band? For we are in need of entertainers to lighten the dark evenings as all we do to fill the dark hours is eat, drink and be merry - and a bit of wenching...... .
Forsooth, I should be honoured to join thy Merrie Bande, but I fear that this night, I am not up to much goode entertainment fore I am sorely tried this even tide.

                      • Fair Lady Jules, we would be honoured to have you in our midst. We have many wise women (and some pretty stupid ones) here who may be able to aid you in your troubles. They have potions and lotions to soothe every ill, failing that some of Master Brewer of the Red Thorn's Red Stocking Ale is guaranteed to wipe out all other ails. I will add thee to our number as Musician as is more befitting a lady of your stature (about 5' 6").

                        • I am most honoured that you should consider me so mighty in your presence when, should truth be out, I am but only 5ft2. And my girth shrinketh every day, praise be to St Atkin.

One is in need of a potion for bannishment of these things which are sent to try us - and I will apply it with liberal hande to myne husband who is sorely in need of a swift kick in the cod piece.

I am in possession of just such a potion that I would be glad to give to thee. For there is nothing I like better than the thought of a man being rendered disabled in the cod piece region.

                            • Mistress Jules, You and I are equal in stature though St Michael is more likely to have been influential in my girth. I daily call on his support, Praise be! Let us raise a Large Cup in his name.
The wise women are here, if you need a discrete word - a PM would be appropriate, methinks
