So I hear tell, Much - and 'tis said that his parti-coloured tights are oft seen on the opposite leg to that which is intended. Mayhap that will account for the strange way in which he doth walk

                    • I am returned from my soak in the froth and the waves, and my aching self is healing well enough. I wish thee safe travels from the woodland to the shore, Lady Jules, and I hope your visit is a pleasant one.

The earlier talks of a Spider remindeth me of this very morn. I delivered a pale or two of fresh water to the flock, for to replenish their supply, and I noticed a fat Spider upon the surface of one pale. It struggled so, and I had no desire to see it so. I removed it, forthwith, to the 'safety' of the grass, only to see two Hens pounce and devour the poor mite. Little Vultures that they are.

                        • Well! That was a journey and no mistake. It pains me to say that there were no fishes at the sea's edge...in fact the sea's edge was also absent as is it's wont in these parts. The water retreats so far that it seemeth almost possible to walk across to thee woode....

On the sand there was not salt, but sand flyes aplenty. Nasty things that flye at your hair and distress your eyes so. We left the sealess shore and journied inland to the high escarpment known as Deer Leap. From there we canst see many counties of this green and pleasant land, and perchance we met a party of young people.

They were trying to make fire on flimsee trays of silver, filled with coals, and once thay had made great leaping flames they threw on many pieces of savoury meats. The silvery trays then caught the meat fast and turned it black on thee outer side whilst the blood ran from thee midst and the youngest maidens all screamed and screeched. They were so pleased at this gruesome sight.

As the eventide faded to night, thee tiny batts did appear and the young maidens all capered and made much noise to encourage the batts, flappyng their hands towards them in greeting...I think. They lit lanterns whych were pretty and glowed and attracted the night moths to them, and again the fair maidens didst squeal in delight and dance around on their sharply pointed dainty shoes over the tussocks of grasse and the invisble mounds of sheep turdes, into whych the pointy shoes sank gratyfyingly.

It was indeed a pleasant evening and myne Crippled Man and I did laughe most uproariously at the antics of the young, having such a pleasant tyme in thee countryside. We were most happye when the young retired. For it muste have been pas't their bedtime, for there were tears and sadness at their leaving, and the young maidens swore never to come to our spot agin. I can only think that they do not wysh to sully their good memoryes.

Oh, I have purchased of salt for thee cooke - from a roving merchant by thee name of Sainsbury.

Verily you do knoweth me well enough MM - altho I findeth that keeping the ales and wines in pigs bladders makes it easier to extract them thru the keyholes. Many a midwife doth call for much hot water during a birthing, myself I like plentiful supply of mulled wine
Sadly you have wined and dined aplenty afore I am free to roam the wood. So I'll follow those little glow worms to find the gold and the gallons. Sweet dreams to you all, and may the turdes and tussocks of the fields not cause you any illharm.

Good Morn to all. I have been absent a while for I have been most diligent in the making of magical invisible cloak for our cook. Thanks to all that provided me with the clever spiders but I didst notice that none of our motley crew that are the merry men could stir themselves to capture even a single one. Perchance they be affeared of them. Tis common in truth.

Maid Marion tis most fortunate that you found the eight legged mystery above for he is an old acquaintance of whom I had completely fogot...he did runeth off so quickly the last time we met. I had half a mind to stamp on him for he is a most noxious knave that tried to do me much harm. I took pity and released him from his curse and he promiseth never to cross my path again.

Where is cook for I must needs teach her in the usage of this uncommon cloak? If anyone should see her tell her it be ready.
