I like the idea of a tournament. However, mine Husband hath just departed for the market area, as I am in need of a replacement implement for tomorrow's work, this leaveth me with no help for the laundry, clearing and tidying (crafty sod!). However, it giveth me an ideal opportunity to dispose of some 'tat' that he will soon forget he hath horded (crafty cow!). Bonfire time, methinks!
When he returneth, he will, no doubt, soon be sat staring at his magical picture-box, as is his wont during the festival of Monaco, and others.

mine master, who wishes to watch some noisy speed-related sport,
Ahhh thou doest meaneth the "go roundy, roundy" race.chariots pulled by many powerful 'osses,I would hope that the "iceman" doeth well, for yay verily he is greatly talented & a proper gentleman of the sport.
Hellooooooooo! It's so quiet and stille in the wood this evenynge - where is everybody? Have they been ambushed and captured? Taken prisoner by the evil Sheriff, or some other blaggard?
No! I know where they are! They've been mayking merrye in the clearing at t'other ende of the wood, and have yet to returne! They've been imbibing of the concoctions of the neighbourynge folke from over yonder, and have fallen asleepe in the sun.
Lazy so and sos!
Whilst not included in the partye, mine master and I have also been partaking; him of the ale and myselfe of the grin and it's usual accompanying tonic. The captured oxen now be ready for eating, I can smell it from here, so the goodly Cooke must have been busy toiling whilst the others were wasting their tyme...
Well, I have to say I have partaken of far too much of thy goodly feaste, and I fear that I may not manage to sleepe well! T'is also rather warm here this night, which will also ail me somewhat. Perchance I'll sleep out with the Hens - t'is cooler out there under the trees.
Whatever, I shall bid thee good night, in the hope that sleep may finde me, and I'll look in on ye when I awaken. Meanwhile, I hope thy heads are not too sore from all that ale and merriment...

I beg forgiveness of you all for I have been occupied in other matters at my Stately home. But I have now returned and would enjoy a small sup of Good ale, if there be any left after all the merriment.
For those of you who have already gone to their beds, I wish ye a good night and pleasant dreams. For those of you that remain, willst though join me in a glass or two?
I have a coffee, does that work? Sorry I've not spotted this thread before VC! The new purchase sounds fantastic! I might have to get my daughter to come with me to Wales and have a look
