No plans for it - just wait and see what grows and lives in it. Get some advice on coppicing and clear some of the sycamore saplings. Take my wellies next time and unblock the streams. Borrow my neighbour and his chain saw to clear a few fallen trees and turn them into logs for the fire. Build another bridge across the stream. Just playing really!

Mr VVG and chainsaw already booked I am thrilled for you VC but I still think it needs some piglets. In my head it does anyway

I am lucky but I also had some money invested that was doing nothing. Now I have a wood that is growing and will give me, and I hope others, a lot of pleasure in the coming years. At the mo, I'm thinking of bequeathing it to the Woodland Trust, or the Wildlife Trust, so that it can be kept as a wood in perpetuity.

Thanks Pa. Its a little bit of the countryside protected from development for ever. I'm going to enjoy being its guardian for the forseeable future.
