      • Well fivesooth it all began many a year before hence with a dear cuz of mine called Ann. She was generous of nature and adventurous in the way of expressing her true feelings. But fortune did not shine on her then for jealousy is a wicked neighbour and understands not the ways of a vibrant bed chamber.

Tis too sad to relate the rest for many a prejudice and judgement has been cast upon her enterprise. However, I see an opening in the market that may assist such enterprise ( merry men and maidens, living together, in a wood, hiding by day and cavorting by night)

Any road up...it's just a bitta fun ay it!

            • Me thinks lady Marion tis best that us women folk prepare for the merriment in the morn. Perchance Robin will oblige to make his face shown to leed the merry men in diversions more suited to their temperament.

Sleep well my lady for the air is close and the morrow doth promise another busy day.

                  • Ello? Ello? Tugging me forelock - tis yore Colonial Feral here. I 'ave been orf deliverin'g babbies; and messed with a few of them sherriff's tax collectors for a bit of lite relief on the way back home.

Trouble wiv them glowworms is that the beggars don't glow as sunrise comes closer. Verily I need a flippin' gps to find me way round this here scrubby plot. And we all knows that babbies is only ever born in the dark of night when midwife wud rather be pushing up zed's in the forest; By the time you clean up and has a cup of mead it's always mornin'.

Wake me up again when there's more RT ale to be had then.

                    • Good even Midwife Feral. I am just preparing to retire (for I am of that age group). My Maid Mistress Lottie has laid out a clean nightie (D'oh) and the fire has been banked up for the night. Mayhap the Master Brewer at the Red Thorn will be along ere long and you can share a tankard or two.
Thou hast much catching up to do and this will occupy your waking hours, while we sleep soundly by the camp (ooh Ducky) fire.
Fare thee well, we will meet again on the morrow.

                        • Thanks PnK for the woad. Will your borage stuff do Lincoln Green though? - they are all so picky, wanting green tights.
Fair Lady Lottie - your fingers will be spun to a farethewell, many thanks from all of those in tights (I think me boots cover most of me legs!). Borage won't give you Lincoln Green, and we need that to hide in the trees from sherrif and his men.

                              • Good'y to those who visit here from far off lands where the sun doth shine at hours that are strangely out of tune with those here in the wood. You are most welcome for your visits are as a breath of fresh air, albeit somewhat tempered by the reek of strong ale from those late night tasting sessions in which you indulge.
I wish our Herbalist and Archer a safe journey today as she ventures forth to visit her aged parents - take care not to run foul of Dennis Moore, for I hear he is in your parts
And to all others who shall visit us in the Wood today, I bid welcome, for the sun doth shine and there is much to plant and sow to feed our merry band through the cold winter months to come.
BTW We're at No 1 this fine morn!!
