  • Dost think that the Sheriff will allow us the traditional Whitsuntide Fair and celebrations, with feasting and ale and cake and Morris dancing?

The King would surely say Aye, but the Sheriff is a different kettle of fish (and madasafish too!). I notice he but seldom ventures into the greenwood for fear of challenge by the leader of our merry band.
    Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
    Endless wonder.

    • O yum - venison I love it. Has it been prepared yet for truly I am famished. I have not partaken of much food this day because of all this hot sunshine and now I am very hungry. I'm sure that after I've had a welcome bathe in the pool the food will all be ready.
So Snohare is joining the band as a tree surgeon? I'm sure he could turn his hand to the repairing of many wooden items in this camp including my spinning wheel as it's getting a great deal of use.

I've bought a 3 acre wood in West Wales, its something I've always wanted and finally its mine. Its ancient woodland, oak, ash, beech and sycamore with bluebells and wood anemones, a badger sett and streams and springs. Lots of space for me to play in!!
There are some photos here Giggling in my Wood!
That is fantastic, it's so beautiful too.

I love the red elf cup and the stream, perfect for your dog(s).
        Happy wood owning

        My favourite animal is steak...

Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon.

        • Thank you Choccy. As usual on here, the original thread topic becomes skewed towards summat else - like a Robin Hood re-enactment panto - but its all great fun! Feel free to take up a part in the cast if you like!

We are the Merry Men and Maids of the Wood, Falconer, have we been known to obey the Sheriff in any matter before. If the madasafish Sheriff should decide that it is not to be allowed, we will make our own enjoyments deeper in the dark inner reaches of the wood.

T'would seem to me that all I have to offer is redemtion in the after life and I so wanted to be remembered for something else, something really good if you see what I mean.

Something that would be in use every day by all folks in our merry band. Something that when used they would remember Tuck Esq QBE.

And so I give you the

                        For your easement.

                              • Good day Merry band and today will, verily be a good day for us all. For I have received word from afar that there may be a new member joining our band in the not so distant future for he hath made overtures towards joining already. I know little about him but he has a strange, foreign name that is difficult upon the tongue, yekim. I hope he will make himself known to us soon.
.......... Our new Merrie man has arrived. His name has been adapted to something that we can pronounce - let us welcome Mick of All Trades (and Master of None!) to our midst. We can call on Mick to fetch and carry and be the general DogsBody - But ladies, I beseech you, be gentle with him for he knoweth not our ways and some of them are a little strange
