I know I've mentioned this before, and I know I'm female, but one of Nigellas funniest bits on tv is where she is about to turn a steak with a pair of tongs and says (with a straight face) "I love a bit of tong action"!!!!

I used to work with a girl who was so Niave it was untrue. We went up town one lunchtime to do some shopping and Jayne announced

Um! 3rd a May - election day AND my birfday. I will attain the glorious age of 60. Having a girlie dinner. My children had arranged a "surprise". They are old enuff to know I don't do birthdays and hate surprises. They are taking me out to dinner the weekend before instead.
Trouble is just for once I would have loved the "surprise". It was a trip to the theatre. I don't go nowadays as I don't like going on my own.
