I go to bed about 12, then read for a bit, often 'til 1, then go straight to sleep. Wake when I'm ready - anything between 5 and 7 and get up after 7.
I'm obviously not working hard enough in the day!

Bed by about 9.30pm up at 6.30am............even at weekends! Dogs don't realise you're supposed to have a lie in at the weekend!

I'm usually in bed by 10.30pm and 11pm latest. I do get up at about 6.30am though. But don't believe what you hear about not needing enough sleep as you get older - I have to get a full eight hours sleep every night. And sometimes I have a half an hour nap on the settee after lunch as well if I've had a really busy morning. Then I'm ready to keep going for the rest of the day.
As soon as my head hits the pillow no matter what time it is, I will be fast asleep. What a blessing!

I would choose to got to bed at 10.00pm and sleep by 10.30 and then wake up anywhere between 8.30 and 9.30am.

Oh ....on the ether hand ..OH only needs about 6hrs sleep and snores his head off most of the night...hence I tend to desperately need a siesta just to make it til his bedtime.

Light sleeping is just the pants ain't it????

              11pm? Late for me lol
I'm up at 6.30 so usually in bed by 10pm for 8 hours sleep lol
Been finding I wake up at 5.30 anyway as wake up naturally with the lighter mornings?

But I always love my sleep and nothing or nobody prevents me from it LOL

I go to bed about 12 but I might have nodded off on the sofa for an hour before that. Then I'm usually up before 6. As soon as they hear me stir the cats come in and sit on my bladder...they know it gets me up then I'll feed them.

If I try and have a lie in they sit on my chest and put their paws on my lips.

The last time I read in bed was when Mr Pots worked nights so that's got to be 20 year ago anyway I got my book started reading next thing Mr P comes home. I thought he was ill or something but instead I'd read all night until 6am without realising.

I often become immersed in a book and can't stop reading it. I don't actually look at a clock, just stop reading when the book falls on my nose!

There was someone on radio 2 yesterday, that asked the question why is it that during the heat of the day, I feel tired and want to nap, but at night when it is hot I can't sleep.

This amused me, but I didn't hear what the answer was?
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Mr.G snores like the proverbial, despite nudges from me, and he's usually in bed around ten o'clock, as he has to be up before six in the morning, so that stops me from getting to sleep, usually. Also, I can't sleep when it's hot, and he likes the duvet up to his ears in all temperatures, while I prefer no duvet at all when it's really hot, so I either lay on top of my bit, then find that I stick to it, or I push it to the middle, in a big sausage shape, and then have to sleep on the edge of the bed. No wonder I don't get off to sleep. Unfortunately, I make up for it by being comatose in the mornings! In bed by nine at night is a real luxury, and very rare, nowadays, sadly.

Weekdays, like Bren, I'm in bed for 11 and up at 5.30. In this hot weather, I've been waking at half four which is a pain because I can't get back off again. Weekends I go to bed when I feel like it as although I know I'll still be awake about 6 hours later, I can sit up with my lovely feather pillows and read until Himself rouses and makes a cup of tea, or until my backache says "get up now".

My sleep patterns are so erratic. I work late evenings 3 days a week (4pm until midnight), so on those nights I don't go to bed until ater 1am. The OH gets up at 4am Monday to Friday and is so bloomin' noisy that I'm awake too. I tend to get up then and potter about the house, but must admit after I've made sure Moo is up and off to school I do tend to have a couple of hours either on the soa or the bed reading/dozing.
