  • Parking in London

Hi all, we are coming to London on Sunday 10th June for a photo shoot for Daughter, we need to be at Waterloo, not sure what time as yet. If we drive up we thought it would be better to park outside of the city to avoid congestion charges. Where would you suggest we park. What would be the best option to then get to Waterloo.
Train is over £240 for three of us, out of the question. Coach is under £100, so this is an option but takes 5 hours. I know car would be as long but option to stop when we want to.

We always used to drive to Richmond and take the tube into London. It's just a short walk from the car park, over a bridge to the tube station. Not sure how long it is on the tube (it was a long time ago) but that way worked for us.

Just to let you know there is no congestion charge over the weekends.
You could park along Chelsea embankment or around Ealing. Not sure of costs though.

No charge on weekends, public holidays, between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day inclusive, or between 18:00 and 07:00.

You could probably get quiter close to central if it's a sunday. Ealing would be a good shout. Plenty of parking near the tube station

Thanks but not needed after all, after a bit of thought, well a lot, we have decided on this occasion not to let her attend. We had our doubts and it all happened overnight, and we feel we are being railroaded into something that's a bit iffy. Luckily I asked someone about the company involved and although not a scam its all a bit doubtful.
Thank you for the information about parking though.

Unless it was a very prestigious photographer or agent, I wouldn't bother travelling to London for a portfolio shoot. Use someone more local
