Janey, he won't go near the BH or my sons at the moment. He's also a bit wary of the DD but then she does the administering of the nasty medicine.

I'm flavour of the month but I'm not complaining!

I have read with some distress about this vile example of animal cruelty - glad Mousey seems to be on the mend.

I'd better not say 'exactly' what I'd like to as I would rightly be banned off this forum for life!

But if its cats and other helpless creatures today - tomorrow's victims will 'have' to be more 'interesting' and these people (who are on the eternal quest to locate their fathers) will probably upgrade to mugging the elderly and/or doing despicable things to small children. The cowards would never take on someone their own size. Penalties without teeth are dished out if/when dirt-bags are ever caught/convicted.

Words fail me each time I hear something like this.

Hope that Mousey continues to do well and that the lost cats are soon found fit and well.

Hope she continues to recover, Jules. Doesn't surprise me that the vet 'forgot' that info, but pleased he's back on painkiller. Gentle hugs to the feline. xx

Poor Mousy, poor you too JA, It's really horrible having one of your animals hurting. Hope it's not too long before he's back in good health.

I'd drop the beggers who did it naked in the middle of an eight acre bramble patch, then when they got out...throw 'em back in again.

Someone drunk once kicked my sweetie of a border collie because she walked in front of him, then laughed. I was so furious I simply slapped him across the face without even thinking. He had a bruised face for a week. Must admit I was lucky he was so stunned that he didn't do anything about it.

Had a bit of a scare last night, but sorted now. Mousey was allergic to the Vetergesic painkiller and he had an asthma-type attack. We managed to sort him out by ourselves although another night time trip to the vets was planned. We wanted to calm him before putting him in the dreaded carrier and by the time he was calm he'd recovered. Vet said stop the painkiller immediately and he's been fine since. It was a bit scary for what seemed like ages, but was only about 10 minutes.

                    He died.

A neighbour found him dead in their garden this morning. I'm getting really, really, p*ssed off paying vets huge amounts of money only to have cats die a week or so later. What do they do for their fees? This is the third time it's happened in as many years.

Oh Jules I'm so sorry. As you probably remember I had similar experience myself recently though our Brody wasn't a victim of violence.

I know what you're all going through but chin up and get his best photo put in a frame. I've planted pot marigold and poppies on her grave which is now one of four.

We want to plant a cherry tree over him when we bury him. It's in a pot, a pop-up potato thing. Can we take it out of the pot this late in the season?
