Congratulations on posting the pic Tony. Look forward to seeing many more now that you know how to do it. Have been in Dordogne and loved it. Great river for canoing and just messing about. Happy gardening.

Here are some views of my favourite walk, along the canal bank and onto an old railway embankment at the back of Great Central Railway in Loughborough. It' a smashing little bit of countryside on the edge of town, but unfortunately it ends at the road leading to the tip!
We did manage to scrump 40 lbs of blackberries and enough pears for 2 gallons of wine last year.
My sister-in-law used to live in 'The Old Lockhouse' in LoBro so I know bits of that canal quite well, it is lovely to find all that greenery not far from the middle of town. We're about a mile away from the Leeds-Liverpool, that's pretty nice too.

This pic was taken on a footpath which runs about 200 yards behind my house. You can see the house from the path. It's an old 'green lane' and is only used by tractors going to and from the fields. We often see deer along here but they don't come down into the village.

This is the view from my deck off the lounge...looking out to the sea. I never tire of looking at this view.

Gosh Lauren, aren't you high up? My OH would get vertigo on your deck...! Beautiful view though. Which way does the sun set?
Flummery, how did you get so close to take that lovely picture? We have deer near here, but the closest you can get to them is about a field's length before they take off.

I've just worked out how to get photos from my phone onto the computer (yay!) so may have a few more to post soon.

My property is on four levels altogether, steps everywhere. But you need to be high up to get the views. My garden faces due South, keeps us nice and warm.

seeing as you lot seemed to like the last lot me and The Natch have been mooching around the area. I apologise for the foto quality but I only had my fone camera with me and an impatient dog dragging me around.

Feel free to have a nosey at them it's easier than trying to post them all on here.

PS. If you don't like bluebells look away now

Beautiful Nick, not a bluebell in sight here yet!

The deer photo was taken on zoom (which is why it's a tad fuzzy) and by Mr Flum who walks that lane most Sunday mornings on his own. The secret is to round the corners slowly and not to have a chatty wife with you, I'm led to believe!

Hahahaha, I guess 3 noisy kids and a bouncy German Shepherd probably wouldn't help either! Maybe in 10 years or so, I'll be able to get a bit closer

"It's not flat round here"??!! Hahahahaha You must have been leaning when you took that one....!

As to the mystery flowers, I don't know what they are either but they're growing in my regular dog-walk field, so if anyone else knows I'd be interested!
