When I turned 50 my youngest wrote in my card 'Happy birthday mum. You're half way to being an antique.' She'll be 23 this year and is talking about how much she wants kids...not yet but soon. Now that made me feel old. I'm not a grandparent yet and my eldest will be 37 this year.

I have always felt that kids keep you in touch with things. I need a new mobile as the one I have is over 2 years old and is ready to die on me. The kids are saying a smart phone is the way to go. But then they also keep telling me I should go on facebook. Mmmm...I'll think about that one.
