A very dull question

Window cleaning.....

We have oil fired heating - the inside of our windows get this sort of dirty blue tinge and constantly need cleaning, my dull question is this-
What is the best window cleaning product to use......not including my 'bestest gadget' (Mr HF) or a window cleaner.
Have tried the vinegar and paper...it did not do a very good job.
Have trigger sprays W.lean and M.'Moule' any other ideas.....please.
Have Mummy in law coming to stay soon - her windows positively gleam.......help

I either use Vinegar in water, or car windscreen wash.

clean with a cloth, "squeegee" off and then buff with a teatowel....

did mine the other day, they're geamin'!

Mr Muscle window cleaner with newspaper. Smear free and shiny.

I use a microfibre window cleaning cloth and water. If it is really dirty I spray with vinegar water first and get the worst off with kitchen towel then final polish with the microfibre.

I use Mr Muscle too with two microfibre cloths one to put on and one to buff to a shine.

Another vote for Mr Muscle, but I use kitchen roll to clean it off and buff it up.

I have oil fired heating too but don't get dirty blue stuff on the windows - lots of other muck but nothing I can attribute to the heating. Are you sure your boiler is OK?

Do you have adblue added to your heating oil? That reduces carbon build up, so may help long term.

Forget about the windows. If you are convinced that the boiler is causing the problem. TURN IT OFF until it has been checked by a oil fired registered engineer.

This could be a flueing problem on an opened flued boiler or a case seal problem on a room sealed boiler, either way it could be very naughty.

I'm with pots, when was your oil boiler last serviced, it should be done every year, as they clog easily with soot.
