I used to play lawn bowls, but its gets very addictive, so I took up golf instead. I can't afford for that to get addicitive.
I looked into a course on marquetry a little while ago, but it never got off the ground.
If you just have a spare hour here and there, I have a lawn mower that can be quite entertaining.
And if you've got a day or two to spare for flights I've got a hundred acres and a mower that can be quite entertaining, and some fencing and some weeds, and they are jolly entertaining! The weathers pretty much the same but the wildlife is a bit out of the ordinary. Got a kelpie or two to keep you busy if you should get bored............
Some days it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints!
One bit of old folklore wisdom says to plant tomatoes when the soil is warm enough to sit on with bare buttocks. In surburban areas, use the back of your wrist. Jackie French

Wow, that's unimaginably generous of you BB. I haven't passed Telford for quite a few years, too tight to pay to get back in TBH....
Thats a real shame about your ankle, I have a plate in mine. A couple of years ago I boshed my fib and heel, and snapped a ligament holding my kneecap down, so I'm very lucky to be back playing it at all really. I can't run anymore but, I remember telling the surgeon when he told me I was likely to lose sensation, don't worry about that just make sure I can still make a swing!!!
If I find my way up your way, I'll send you a pm, but don't worry if they find a new home in the meantime.
Isn't it amazing all these hobbies seem to be the things that people haven't got time to do? Why not be an odd job man? There appears to be no shortage of odd jobs needing doing

Just the one plate....tssk...and I thought you were hardcore!
Actually, I only have one now, the other had to be removed seven weeks after it was put in so that they could debride some bone as part of the treatment to rid me of osteomyelitis...a nasty bone infection that I received as a result of the first surgery. Fun!
Anyway, that's going off topic, come to think of it though...amateur orthopaedic surgeon...now that's a hobby!!!
Tried and Tested...but the results are inconclusive
