Minor Rant Thread part 6

Wind and the leaves are falling fast. Trouble is that it's like the Wizard of Oz out there. Leaves and everything else are spinning in circles. We spent six hours on Sunday, cleaning and tidying whilst neighbours either side leave their cr*p. Guess in whose garden it is now. Lazy b@**@**s!

Yeah and the rest of the cr@p mixed in with it - come and get it yourself, if you want it so bad! Not so funny.

And whilst I am venting...to my next door neighbours...I will have to rake all the leaves up and your carrier bags that you leave to blow in the winds. I will then dump the lot back in your garden, for you to leave again. Maybe when you have your gardeners up, instead of planting winter bedding and trimming your forsythia you could get them to mow your lawns, trim your hedges, pick up your twigs, acorns, pine cones, needles, etc. instead of letting me and my other half do it because we feel sorry when you send your 84 year old husband out instead. You get free gardening help and ask them to leave dibbing a winter pansy in here and there.
To the other neighbours, stop getting hammered every weekend and pick your own leaves up - at least yours is only leaves.

Village Committees - well this one, anyway.

Had the quarterly newsletter shoved through the door, at around 9:30 this morning. In it is a begging letter. Begging for folk to stand for election to said Committee, as two vital members are retiring, and there's never anyone willing to make an effort, bla bla bla... You know the score.

Elections to be held in the Village Hall at 7:30 pm on...

Yup 15th October! Last night!

In the South of France, a few years ago now, we came across a village notice that (translated) read

"The Mother's Club meeting that was scheduled for next Wednesday has been cancelled. It was held yesterday instead"

you've guessed it ...........bl'ddy contractors etc..........how many times do you have to dig up the same bit of road to get it right, yes I know I'm dicing with death by walking where there's no path to get to the bus stop but your diversion takes three times as long, I would like to see something other that metal fencing outside my window which fences off three times a bigger area than needs , I really would like to recycle but my blue bin is full, and I would appreciate it if the next time I have a delivery that is fragile you don't make the delivery guy park on the other side of a busy dual carriageway ......just saying (again)
