The medical profession can do all sorts of wonderful things nowadays...

So why can't they sort out my blummin' hayfever > sinusitis > vertigo???

Have been told today that there is nothing else they can give me, that despite the fact that I can't breathe properly/fully most of the time, and am hardly sleeping; and the fact that I've developed vertigo as a "side-effect" of hayfever - apart from taking away the vertigo symptoms, there is nothing they can do, and nothing else they can give me.

Apparantly, I just have to "get used to it, and get on with it"....

Have you tried taking sudafed? I have really bad hayfever and I've found that sometimes Sudafed will clear my head and sinus blockages when my antihistamines have failed.

My rant? Staff who think 'I got caught up watching the Olympics' is an acceptable excuse for being close to 2 hours late back from lunch...what are they thinking?

Rant: technically I can't take any decongestants because of other medication I'm on...when I do succumb to taking stuff, I end up with palpitations and sickness.... can't decide what's worse really....

Am sleeping with 'breathe-easy' strips on my nose, and have taken (occasionally) to using sleeping tablets....

Ugh, that sucks.

Do either menthol or olbus oil help to clear your nose? A few drops on a pad near your pillow might help, or peppermint oil on a cotton wool pad/tissue can be good for clearing congestion.

My Sister used to suffer really badly from Hayfever. In desperation she went to a Chinese Herbalist. He gave her a cocktail of tiny little pills, and a course of Acupuncture. Cured! Amazing.
