Dog doesn't want to go out...it's raining. Dog looks outside...it's raining. Dog eats biscuits...it's raining. Dog wants to curl up and sleep...it's raining. Dog wants more biscuits when I Hoover...it's a bad habit and it's raining. I have a chocolate...dog wants one...another bad habit...it's raining. Dog sighs...it's raining.
As for the other one...she wants a fire...she's got one, which nobody else can get near.

When it's raining, e.g. today, one of our cats, Timothy, requires that you follow him (yowling loudly) around the house opening every door and every window because, surely, surely, one of them will open into sunshine?

One Evil Kitty who sits on a ledge outside my window giving me the Evil Eye and yowling at me - I want to see the rainy sky and have some light in my world, I just don't require the level of glare I'm getting from the cat!

After nearly a month a no rain, it had to rain today. Finger's x'd it won't pour while we're loading the horse or riding him.
