    Thanks all

I should have updated really but I have a habit of losing my threads after making them!

It's like a switch flicked and he just went back to normal, very strange! Perhaps he just had a bug and didn't feel like eating. I was quite worried, had the pet insurance papers out and everything!

When I phoned the vet after one of my cats just sat in exactly the same place for 24hours like a cottage loaf, not interested in food (or moving!), I was advised to only bring him in if he had been like that for 48hours, as cats can get bugs or be 'off colour' for a couple of days.

True to form, 48hours virtually to the minute, he sat up, stretched, and demanded a big plate of food.

(my experience would have been of more help to you if I had posted when I first saw this a few days ago - sorry!)

Same here Drea, you can find em via your profile - there's a bit that says <goes off to check!> "Find latest started threads"

        Glad Myles is better, wierd!

I'm so glad to hear that he's better. Cats can be strange creatures, mine just don't seem to know what's going on at the moment - I'm seeing a very strange mix of summer and winter behaviours from them!

Just picked this up.....so glad to hear he is improving, that's good news!
Some times if kitty has got caught up in a bit of a fight they can go off their food, sit hunched up or just hide away, often for several days if it was a nasty fight. I usually check them over for wounds and let them be - safe and quiet for a while. Keeping a watchful eye on them, but worrying like crazy every time......still!!!!
This I have found with my boys in the past (sadly now just the one)
Also, check their claws for damage, this is often a sign of having been clipped by a car.

ps If they get a cold, they cant smell their food so often wont eat until very hungry. If one of mine had a cold, he would wait until the other started to eat then would eat out of that bowl only.
