    YIPPEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Finally it's happened; the rain reached sunny Skeg; maybe now my rotavator will do what it should do and dig, instead of just bouncing over the ground

Well it's not down here in the South, there was raindrops on the weather forecast for Thursday but they've disappeared. After suffering from molten mud all winter the ground is drying out rapidly, oh I can't win.
Perhaps your rain will come this way, fingers crossed.

The early showers yesterday prompted me to get out of the garden and go to a local car boot sale. I found a couple of large plastic drums (about 300 litres I think) very cheap. I've cut the bottoms out of them and will try them as compost bins. It's a neat way to keep the garden waste under control, if it works.

We just got a couple of light showers. Would'nt do the garden much good.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Its still welcome though Seasprout. With it having been so dry this steady drizzle is much better than a deluge at the moment.

Hummm...I know the feeling- There is only so much housework I can cope with now that I'm on a roll down on the lottie!
Not complaining though- we really do need this steady drizzle

Nothing wrong with natures watering can. Compared to the rubbish that comes out of the tap, I think the impurities in rain feed the plants as well as watering them ( depending what the impurities are, of course).
