Wasn't there also talk of a more frequent cycle of climate change - like every 16 years?
Think of the bad winters, like 1947, 1963, I slept through 1979 and 1995 but 2011 would have been the next 16 year interval. Of course, I could be making this up but the weather does move in cycles and maybe this is our turn for a wet cold summer? Next year, we'll be back to our normal, damp and warmish summer!

I hope your right VC. How ever the climate changes I am talking about have been proven to happen about every 11,500 years through out the world's history and as the commentator said in 2Sheds link the last one was about 11,000 years ago.

At the moment we are experiencing temperature changes of about 3/4 of a degree over a 100 year period (which the boffins are trying to tell us is fast). Other boffins will tell you that is slow compared to what has happened in the past.

Just depends which boffin you want to believe I suppose.

Which international scientific organisation says that we are not experiencing climate change?

                  None !!

When you say boffin, do you mean what you read in the Daily Mail? NASA, NOAA and the MET Office all say that climate change is here, they do disagree about which year was the warmest, but they all agree that it is happening.

But the climate is changing all the time.....the question is whether it is as result of man's actions or a cyclical and natural process. And this argument will run and run, and I'm out of it..........

Me too, I'm not in the mood for a heated argument right now - or I'd jump in with both feet

You really ought to read my post more carefully I will say it again I FIRMLY BELIEVE IN CLIMATE CHANGE.

I just doubt it is all down to mans actions if you would like to learn more I suggest you investigate Dansgaard-Oescher events for just one.

We just put a baby hedgehog in a safer place; it was running towards the road, so we put it under a large spreading tree.

We might have to pay more to grow/buy our veggies, but at least it should sort out the Fri/Sat night problems in our town centres !!
Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you are probably right.
