  • Gopher wood

Anyone know where I can get some? A job lot would be handy, as I've got quite a big project on...
Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel paths with broken dinner-knives. ~ Rudyard Kipling

Without looking at the link Bren, I'll pay a penny a foot. Not 3 ha'pence, that's too much.

            I do like Stanley Holloway.

Have you seen any of the Albert monologues sequels that are being written these days.
A local poet writes some of them and he comes to our Poems and Pints night and performs. He's from Oop North too and sounds quite Stanley Hollowayish.
Here's one of his that seems quite appropriate today Albert and the Privy... John Bilsborough

That used to be my party-piece Bren, on the annual Ladies Day Out to Blackpool. That and some rather racey Rugby songs

aparently,it's not know for sure what gopher wood is,it could be some sort of pine ,according to google anyway lol,but in this day and age of recyling,am sure you can do a good job with larger pallets, sealed with some tar or what ever, what ever you do,do not allow slugs, snails, cabbage whites, whitefly and their reletives on board
sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these

I quite like that. I do have to read it in a Holloway accent though.
