Curlykale, don't let the list of possible health problems put you off a Cavalier. You will find a list of potential health issues with many of the popular breeds. Do your research, make an informed choice and buy from a reputable breeder. Once you have a dog, you'll wonder how you managed without one

Just to tag this on, I really like weimaraner's too. Love their stature. Never had one mind. Probably never will

Docking for cosmetic reasons has been banned in the UK for 5 years now.

A few people ask me why my dog's tail is docked ~ it's not, Frenchies have naturally short, screw tails (which can sometimes cause spinal problems later in life, it's something I'll keep an eye on)

Sounds like you need a few kelpie's over there to mix up some gene's for you! You wouldn't be able to dock Knic Nac's tail, you couldn't keep it still for long enough to do it!
Such a hard decision getting a new dog. We will prob always go the rescue route tho since we've had some awesome dogs that way.

If I was to get another dog, it would be a chocolate labrador. But what do you call your dogs, everyone? My ambition to have a lab and call it 'Todger', just for the sheer pleasure of calling out, "Here, Todger, here boy!"
