  • Want a suprise take a dive,

I did not long ago ,was trying to push a cane into the ground at edge of the pond, next thing was i was in the water screeching, the cane gave way and nowere for me to go only forwards and into the pond, well i ask you,a grown woman lol,DH said he just saw me hit the water, when he helped me out i was giggling away,i think with shock lol,so i striped of outside down to the ensetials and went for a long shower,my leg stings high shin, and is swelling a bit,we recone i hit the slab on top of a concret block with the pump on,i did however keep my head dry,so could have been worse,as there are fish in it,i now have my lovely boots to wash and dry out,i still think it funny,DH said don't know why you laughing, you caould have done this that, all i was bothered about apart from me boots ,was having wild life in with me clothes, shudders

Nice one Lottie. A bit more practice and you'll make the Olympic team
Wish I'd been there - I would definitely have been laughing
Hope your leg's OK - hope the fish weren't too squashed either

Thats a very unusual fishing method lottie, I can't say I've ever been a big fan of fishing, but I would happily watch your version of the sport on the box.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

That reminds me of SWMBO some years ago. We were canal boating with two friends and were about to enter the first lock on the Llangollen. There was a queue as usual so my friend and I walked up to the lock leaving his wife at the helm and SWMBO holding the boat into the bank.

When our turn came my mate signaled SWMBO to push off which she did BUT she kept hold of the boat and forgot to step up onto the side runner. We were bent double with laughter as the boat moved away from the bank laying SWMBO out nearly flat before she let go of the boat. The water's only 2ft deep but she managed to lie in it full length. Neither was she amused when we insisted she strip of to her shreddies before entering our nice clean boat.

Oh nice one LD - glad you could see the funny side of it - I had a good laugh too just imagining you going in the water with a big splash! Bet your leg is hurting now though.
Have you seen any of the fish since or are they all in hiding?

Mr HF took a dive in our pond....... once I knew he was ok, I just could not stop laughing - and worse still ......telling simply everyone!
He looked like a frog, he just sprung from the edge, right on in...........why? lol
I know, I know, he did not mean to, but it looked so calculated, as I say - just like a giant frog leaping in!
                    bless.

oh and Sebbie cat seems to like the pond to.....
Soggy moggy or what and when you say to him....."hey Sebbs you been IN the pond"? he looks at you as if to say 'No, of course not' followed by 'well I meant to do it anyway' cats seem to hate looking like the idiot!
Funniest was when he stepped on the iced over pond, ice that slowly started to sink, he was up to his knees, then tummy, just looking at me as if to say 'its cool- I am in control'.......
"you are so not kitty" tee hee.
He was soaked, big hugs and treats while drying out in front of the stove.
