Three quarters of mine are still in the flowering stage. There are some lower down, but they're piddly little ones. Oh dear.

I even found fat slugs in the stayput Mikey, so here, nowhere is safe.

My back garden path is 15 feet long by one slab wide. Early this wet morning I walked down it and squashed 67 small black slugs. An hour later I squashed another 26 that were ghoulishly feeding on the squashed bodies of their kin. And that's just the path. These wee slugs are impossible to see on the dark soil.

Now I know why the only plants that seem to self-seed are foxgloves.

I seem to have won the battle of the snugs for now! Am now harvesting beetroot, carrots, onions, spring onions, courgettes, lettuce, various herbs, spinach, kale and the strawberries were lovely too! Wont be long before the peas and broad beans are ready and the runners are covered in flowers. Lots of little green toms waiting for the sunshine and my biggest cuke is 10cm and very proud of it I am too!LOL
Sadly I wont get much fruit as its year 1 for most of my bushes and trees. Im really surprised at how much can be fitted into a small space and think I might have finally found a hobby I enjoy and that Im pretty good at!
