I wouldn't have a problem with wearing black to a wedding - little black numbers are very classy and it's not as if you're going in a completely black outfit. The raspberry jacket and accessories will just set it off. As long as you feel comfortable you'll wear it with confidence, so go on off to the wedding and enjoy yourself.

Oh, thanks guys. I don't need to go shopping. I'm not a girly girl. Last time I wore a dress may have been 18 years ago when I got married. Not a black dress but it only cost £5 out of Top Shop. I bought this black dress for an event that I ended up never going to so thought why not wear it to the wedding. It covers a multitude of sins. I do not know the bride, Mr Frosty and I know the groom. Anyway decision made, thanks again.

Shouldn't be a problem, unlike my friend who went out and bought a lovely oyster coloured dress (as mother of the groom) and then the bride did get a bit hmmmm, because they secret colour of her bridesmaids dresses were................oyster. I told my friend not to worry unless she was planning on joining the bridesmaids on the journey up the aisle!
Have a good time.Ali
