    Hi folks,
has anyone ever used a company called 'All weather roofline ltd'- they cover northants, leics, notts, cambs, lincs and yorks. Just had a very reasonable quote from them. Just wanted to know if anybody had any feedback.

    Cheers

thanks for that BB OH and myself are mulling over now........ why is it that double glazing/ anything to do with windows/doors/upvc businesses seem to cause so many different reviews? soooo annoying.....
just scared of getting ripped off don't know what to do for the best, afriend of ours had windows done by e*****t but had apalling installation and aftercare service so even the 'big boys' don't deliver!

You can buy most of the items you need direct with a company called National Plastics all for a few hundred pounds for most homes, are you upto doing it yourselves?

I'm sure there are alternatives in your local area.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

good idea , however neither of us likes heights(as in ladders etc) and really haven't got the time to dedicate to it, we need to sort them out before next year as we are planning on having a conservatory too, hoping to find a company who will be able to do the whole 'job lot' as these. We just haven't heard of these before. We are going to get some other quotes before we make our minds up though. These companies all seem to put pressure on you to make your mind up there and then to get the best price its just so annoying

as with any company, the name is only as good as the crew they alocate to your job,we engaged a recomended plaster, turned up on the day then went of leaving his new aprentice, yes i had them back to wright some wrongs, never again, same with a window firm putting patio doors in,not that happy, and the person recomending these peeps, has seen the finished work, and agree with us,same recently with carpet fitters, had the same place a few times, but now no,they made a major crack up by cutting in the wrong place and ended up putting in a join,as it was in a no tread bit we felt obliged to accept it,now had it been expensive 1 then no,he was so remoresfull, sweating think his inside turned over lol,he said he would have to personaly bear the cost of the money's,not the place that empoy them,in future if i need anything large moneyed, best to ask about the crew to be sent,
sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these

Shame you're not nearer, Mr Teez is an experienced window fitter... He does say, though that the ease of the job is often down to how accurately the windows are measured by the chap who comes to measure up prior to manufacture. When he was doing it he always made sure he measured both the inside and outside of each window, as in an old property the difference in size can be HUGE!!! I cannot tell you the times he used to come home having had to struggle to fit a window that the surveyor had measured incorrectly. I used to wonder sometimes if the bloke actually got out of the car - or just shut one eye, held his thumb up and winged it!
If your property IS old, and your surveyor DOESN'T measure inside and out, don't be afraid to suggest it might be and idea - your fitter will thank you for it!
