Nipped up the plot today and came home with toms, cucumbers, runner beans, French beans and courgettes. Only about a month late but it felt like summer
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

One bit of old folklore wisdom says to plant tomatoes when the soil is warm enough to sit on with bare buttocks. In surburban areas, use the back of your wrist. Jackie French

Yep, lovely going up to the allotment and finding loads of courgettes ready. And enough tomatoes for a few salads, finally. I was also really thrilled to see our very first artichoke! I've tried unsuccessfully to get them going for a few years, and finally have a little patch of them. The plants really struggled to get established and I truly didn't expect anything in the first year. Nice moment, that was.
The rain has went from horizontal to vertical...........must be summer!
