Dropped in at the allotments where I had a plot until 8 years ago - and haven't been back since. Was immediately recognised by Jack who apologised that there were no beans left to give me and launched straight into a discussion about age and sex Somethings never change
I did enjoy the banter there

First day of maternity leave - whoop! Was a bit strange not to go to work today.
Not managed to get any of my list of jobs done yet though - plenty of time

Planting out our new tree. We have bought very little that isn't productive so far, but splashed out on a Ginko Biloba so when I'm 85 the house will be hidden from the road. Can't wait.

Planted shrubs yesterday & it has rained all morning. The clouds have lifted and the mountains are white. Autumn.

Feeling a bit selfish as youngets son as although youngets son hasn't been sick since yesterday lunctime, he is not allowed to go to school today as they have the 48hr rule (although I am pretty sure I am the only one who sticks to it).

However, as this means as he is feeling better we have had a lovely morning just the 2 of us (which is rare), doing all the puzzles, letters, colouring, numbers etc in the comic I bought him yesterday, and he has just helped me make a chocloate meringue!

And he must be feeling better as he licked the bowls after

Oooh - turning out an old handbag to send to the charity shop I found my old emerald ring - it had lost a stone - and then shaking the handbag a bit more out popped the missing stone! I feel so lucky.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
