Discovered a website that sells great children's toys, ordered C*****mas presents for my 2 great nephews (5 & 7) on Monday - arrived with the post Wed a.m. Service or what!? Brilliant!
The nice man at BT... for actually taking the time to call me with emphatic apologies & telling me about what they are doing regarding my lack of phone, probably wont be done before Monday still but it has gone a long way to dissipating anger.

Just had 4 Tourist Office peeps come and look at our Gite....Nice to see the look on their faces when they went in, and the big smiles when they left Makes all the hard work worth while.

Finding out that one afternoon a fortnight the students get to do PEP (personal enrichment programme) or learning/doing things for fun! I and another new colleague have been asked to take charge of the gardening in the school allotment. There are raised beds and a polytunnel. Yesterday we spent the Morrison's Let's Grow vouchers. I can't believe that I get to play and get paid for it!
1. Waking with the sun shining into the bedroom and the air so clear I could see Somerset across the Bristol Channel
2. Messing about in the garden for most of the day surrounded by chittering birds
3. not being impaled by the big branch that fell from the ash tree
4. Going for a walk in the beechwoods, with the fallen leaves glowing in the shafts of sunlight
5. returning as the sun is setting and the sky has turned rosy pink and blue
6. seeing the baby moon asleep in its cradle.
November's not such a bad month after all
Went to B&Q today to get curtain track and find that they have all their spring flowering bulbs half price - got 70 mixed bulbs - tulips, anemones, alliums, hyacinths and irises for £4.99.
A scented oil called Pine & Berries. I use it for scented pillow sets and it smells divine, I will never tire of this scent. Took a trip to TKMaxx this afternoon, and was looking for pretty soaps to go in a stocking for #1 Son's Secret Girlfriend, when I found a huge bar of soap with the same fragrance. Bought one for the SG's stocking and one for me too.......
