  • Nearly forgot my Dad.
Took him into kitchens, which sells items for kitchens.
He asked me what my OH would like for xmas so I said a blender/mixer.
I took him to the "kitchen aid" display and said "one of them!" pointing to the very nice shiny mixers.
    he said "okay, what colour?"
    I said "stainless steel"

I showed him the price £409.00!!!!

    He nearly had heart attack.

    oh how I laughed.

    Didnt get the mixer though

                  • My 92 year old Mum ringing up to check that I had food in the house or she would ask my brother to bring me something of hers.
But I only have a cold Mum - I know she says, but I worry about you not getting enough to eat

                          • I did, but sneakily. My kids are merciless.....

The kids and a few of the ..ahem...grown ups here, were all saying it was lacking something, it wasn't as good.

If they'd stopped yakking and just watched, they just might, just might, have got it. But no, they totally missed the point of mourning a beloved pet.

                            Where did I go wrong?
