The sun coming out on a previously dull, grey winter day. Being in the polytunnel with Mediterranean temperatures as a result of the sun and finding overwintered plants beginning to produce new shoots. Sitting with a glass of wine by the staging in the polytunnel and pricking on seedlings and having to take my sweater off as it is too hot!
Unfortunately with grey skies and lots of rain this year, have done very little of the above!

Ohhh n@sty! Cptn! Glad you've got the tramadol.
Getting some rain (well 2 loads of rain) but still managing to have a small markets happen.
Meeting some lovely people at the markets, discussing gardening, seeds, revegging farms, having a good laugh at the African Hategrass, hearing about some very interesting people.
Oh and getting a bargain on a fantastic round bale of awesome grass, and organic dog bones.
And laughing after I left my stall in charge of the boys, to finish organising the other stallholders. Come back to 'I gave some people some free samples, and tried to tell them some stuff....but I just read it off the packets to them, not like you do.' The people love it, because they love seeing young people interested in that stuff.Ali

At last Mr Frosty has received the first ever copy of the CD he has been singing on. CD is for fundraising for a brain injuries charity. The master copy of the CD got lost in the post but all was saved as Jimmy Jewell had a master master copy at his studio. I know I'm biased but d*mn Mr Frosty is really good.

Coming up on a long walk to my mum's with said handsome boy and getting a jacket potato and a hug to comfort my tears again. She even let Roosty have cat food because he's still not eating.Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein

Sun shone for two mornings, lovely walking the dogs, collecting seaweed for the plot. Finally I have found a painkiller that works (a little). It just lifts the pain enough to get me up and mobile, and has made a huge difference to my mood and my productivity. I'm still in pain, but I can keep it "in the background" instead of succumbing to it quite so quickly.

Some of the posts on these Forums that bring back pleasureable memories of things we did in years gone by, such as recent posts by Trip and VC which reminded me of how my wife and I used to watch the great Welsh Rugby team/s with players like Barry John etc. back in the 1970s.Last edited by Sheneval; 28-01-2013, 06:07 PM.Endeavour to have lived, so that when you die, even the undertaker will be sorry - Puddinghead Wilson's Diary
