  • Getting the electric fence to work! The battery was charged TG, and even tho I couldn't get the new one (bluddy thing) to work (nor find the stinking remote for it!) the old faithful from darn the paddock is putting out the volts! New Leccy wire - the horses saw me breaking out the new round bale of grassy hay and 'the boys'were over like a shot. I haven't had the fence 'on' for ages, but thought they'd try and sneak in overnight since I've been trying to make nice for the tree lucerne plants. They will be fodder later - but not yet boys!

        • my little doggy has pulled through after her post-op complications *phew*

hysterectomy: op went really well, but she was allergic, we found out after 17 hrs of vomiting, to the morphine. She lost 5% of her bodyweight overnight, and was facing a drip

However, clever vet did a brilliant job of diagnosis and treatment, and she recovered almost immediately after getting the right jabs. He didn't charge me for the additional 4 medications either

Pleased to hear she has pulled through after a spaying. I always have mine done to protect them from cancers (ironically for Tansy). At least now you know for a next time scenario.

No, after that, there's no way I'm getting her spayed again

(we got Star the Staffy "done" last year, she was ultra-groggy from the anaesthetic, which the Frenchy wasn't at all: she was up and about and really perky straight away)

Silly monkey seriously I'm pleased you know early and that they acted fast. She's a cutie and it's a big op. Males take less time to recover.
