    • Looking at the plot almost ready for the off and feeling smug. It's the mulching what has done it. Fankoo Zazen and TwoSheds! It won't last and neither will my back

          • First Tunnels. Absolute stars. I won a voucher on their Facebook page, and just ordered some cloche hoops and ground cover with it, and went over the voucher value by a few quid. Spoke to them on the phone to pay the difference on my card and they won't let me! Only a couple of pounds but even so! And yay! I'm getting some 4' cloche hoops tall enough for the big brassicas! Happy bunny here

                    • I've already posted this elsewhere, but it's made me so happy I'm posting it again!

I just got to go and raid the sheds of our ex-committee-chair, who must be the world's biggest hoarder of pots, cell-trays, seed-trays... I have a dozen tall narrow buckets, which seem to be the inserts for those tall stainless steel pedal bins, brand new, a couple of dozen seed trays, brand new, a couple of dozen 9-hole cell trays, innumerable 3" pots, a set of root-trainers with at least another season in them... That's enough stuff to set up the growing-for-parents sessions that I want to do at school, and the only things we'll need to buy are propagator lids and compost! Yayy!!

And even with all that, I haven't really made a dent in the amount of stuff in those sheds...

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
