I fear for the waistline of G4 when she reads this thread

I've just remembered this thread that I started years ago, and I thought it would be fun if our newer members could add their first posts to it.
I can't believe I was amazed when I reached 9000 posts in a year - I've made the same number each year since Sorry

Not my first but my second...how do I know...the thread contained my first like

            "Evening all

first full day on the new plot and in need of a hot bath!

After doing battle with waste high weeds I came across an enormous patch of mint. Apart from even more digging will cardboard help kill it back.

After my first post I realised that the modern allotmenteer does not use systemic sprays so any advice welcome"

"We've finally (finally!) got an allotment. I've been growing in pots and tiny beds in the equally tiny front garden for years, but now we've come to the top of the waiting list and have signed up... "

I still remember the complete sense of euphoria. And we've done better in our first growing year than I ever imagined!

Special thanks to Snadger whose description of BF has stuck in my mind ever since
Can you remember your first post, anyone?
I looked at the picture ... I think I'm traumatised now. But I'll get over it.

A beaming Bob Flowerdew and a beaming Roy Lancaster ... and a strategically placed Charlie Dimmock ....
Are you thinking what I'm thinking???

And has Bob Flowerdew "recycled his teeth"?! Ah, the poor fellow! I don't know what he'd be more indignant about, that or someone getting his recently released book half price from a clearance outlet!

I think I posted about my ancient runner bean that lived in our bedroom window for nine years, actually up until a few months ago when I finally put him outside and poor runner bean bit the dust I felt like a murderer!

                            Are you sure?

Though I've a feeling neither Bob or Roy care!

I just did a Google image search. You're right, it's a young Anne Swithinbank.
