I watched it and was a bit disappointed, I found it a bit boring (especially the mole). I hope it improves as the series progresses.

i was a bit disappointed with the first episode .... to me, they just came across as actors having a bit of fun .... i know wartime was hard, and i know this first episode covered the start of the war, i think i was expecting it to be much harder at the start of the war .... i don't think it really portrayed the daily life of farmers at the time .... or did farmers have a lot of time to go to the pub etc?

it was interesting to see some bits like how they had to make a mole etc .... i'll keep watching though ....

it was good to see that kids were sent out foraging .... i'd love my son to go out picking blackberries, but he won't because his mates would laugh at him .... naturally, everything his mates eat comes from iceland ....

I would love to know where the hall is? I have walked all round the farm and parkland, but its not anywhere accessable to the public....

Also, some insider info, they have two kitchen gardens - the one by the cottage and another one in a seperate place near by, which is cordoned off, so they can film close ups etc......

I think most of their programmes are cut and paste jobs in terms of location! They'd be highly unlikely to find a disused hall like that on the same property as the farm.

Yeah I know, but was hoping it might be somewhere near-ish (ie southampton way)

It probably is, as they wouldn't go traipsing around the country for each session. Keep sleuthing
