What a relief! I was soooooooo worried

tonights programme was very good it helped me see how my grandparents coped during this time. Both my grandads were active in the war one in the army the other in the merchant navy so their wives had to cope bringing up kids 1 in the country the other in a town in hampsire

From those photos, I would choose to wear the austerity clothes in preference to the pre-war ones. I don't do frills and flounces! Think I'll have a go at tying a turban for a laugh!!

Enjoyed the second one much more than the first although there is still a certain clueless element to their endeavours. Anybody know if you can filter modern red diesel through bread by the way?.......... just wondering for wonderings sake, obviously
